I don't know these guys or their relationships with their wives but they aren't true "open marriages." These are relationships based on layers of male power. I would bet $100 that Ed's wife never slept around on him. You know why? Because he holds all the cards. If she puts up with him having mistresses (as men in power have done for thousands of years) she can take in the greater benefit of easy financial success for herself and her children. I don't think less of these women for doing it as I would probably take the tradeoff as well. My instinct is to think less of these guys but I'd like to hear their side of the story before judging.

I wouldn't take that bet or go there. No one knows what goes on inside of another's marriage, and I wouldn't even want to speculate on that.

I think it's definitely something that can't be said for sure, but I do think it's an interesting and extremely plausible shout.

You guys have been covering all the relational consequences of road affairs, but I wonder how much thought is given to std's or other such consequences of all those favors. Aren't the guys worried about where all those body parts have been?

Yep, already hoped the wives/partners are insisting on std testing. That's probably the most selfish thing about this lifestyle. Lots of people can live with and accept infidelity (like Badman said, almost like a trade off for the lifestyle in their cases), but sounds like this is taking place when they're off their faces one way or another and std protection is probably the last thing on their mind.

Give me a break - that's insulting to her. She's at home caring for the children and creating this 'home' for them all. She's growing food for them and putting sustainable practices into place for her family. Ed says so himself. When do you think it's possible she could be off banging her brains out? I'm not saying her she is or isn't(because I have no idea), but I'm sure plenty rock star wives have side ass(especially when husbands are away for long stretches). I'm sure they can get nanny's or others to watch their kids if needed. They know the deal.

I think Erin is pretty - and I'm glad she is "normal" looking - and I mean that only in a good way - meaning that she's not overly made-up and/or all "plastic-surgery-ized". Nice to see a regular, pretty woman and not a "Rock Star Wife" (again, meant as a compliment).

Do you know of or have any other photos of Erin? I had come across one of her and Ed in the recording studio many years ago, but it's now gone from the web, can't find it or any other pics of her. Also, do you know when the above photo was taken? Curious to know if that is Natahsa or Cecilia in the photo with her mom.
