To go along with local radio who will publicize a show and may even have EK in for a sit down on a morning show (which in Charlotte I'm sure will now be highly unlikely).

Why because you wrote them saying that he isn't in LIVE anymore? Give me a break. hehe.gif

False Advertising. You're trying to insinuate I said it was negative for CCP.......I said it's legally wrong.

Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE. Ed was the lead singer of the band and will be performing LIVE songs in concert. Whether he is or was in the band won't matter to those in attendance or buying tickets.

Ed Kowalczyk of Collective Soul would be false advertising.

DQ,

http://web.archive.org/web/20090421065751/...eddieklive.com/

Edko.org is no longer around plus the archives seem to be locked out. I seem to remember it was his blog site where he wrote about his tour diary and other kristimanu bull shit....that's a whole other story.

For the sake of educated souls here and not those who got their credentials through the mail.

'of Live' implies present tense. Ed is no longer in Live, so this is past tense as it should be 'foremerly of' It's false advertising or spin (thats a word you know).

Can't believe you are trying to argue this 6 weeks after you were told rather succintly by everyone that you were wrong. There are most likely others who don't know Ed or Ed was in Live, (new fans or people showing up to see anyone new)

Listen here spinmeister, this sure as hell isn't Jersey and I didn't have my livelihood handed to me. So if you ever want to step out of your dreamworld filled with falsetto singing prima donnas and geriatric 'roid abusers who want to marry daughter lookalikes and talk at a grown up level I'm here. I don't hide behind screenames and I assure you I'd shoot just as straight with you face-to-face. For some reason I don't think you would reciprocate when faced with a difference of opinion publicly you wouldn't be able to comeback with a witty reply. Maybe somewhere in your warped mind you get your jollys off thinking you are some kind of heel who enters this little space on the worldwide web to be the ultimate antagonist. Either way with all that said being a veteran of the media and someone who worked in radio for years I assure you that my contact with this radio station may not stop them from interviewing EK, but it sure peaked their interest in speaking to Mr. Shinn and the rest of LIVE. See that's how you spread the good word Street Teamer Boy.

the first Ed site had pretty much good info including some of his tour diaries and thoughts if I recall it correctly. It was not meant to be spreading his solo works, but solo thoughts.

These are sounding less and less like the originals. I barely even recognized TDC. I seriously thought it was a new song for a bit. LJ and LC weren't much better. No comparison to C+CCP at this point.

Same here. I'll never go to an EDDIE KAY show and I think most Live fans are saying the same thing.

True, but if I'm going to go see EK, Live, or even a Live cover band I'd expect to see a reasonable facsimile of the original tunes. As I said in another thread, I think ZMan's cover of PLOTR maintains the integrity of the original more than EK is doing at this point. I don't know what the hell his band is playing in those songs.

People are attending Ed's shows and having a good time. I'm not a fan of Chris Shinn's vocals at all, but certain fans will still enjoy the shows. Starting this fall, Ed will starting his acoustic tour and LIVE 2.0 may be doing full band shows. If that happens, for fans of LIVE, it will be win/win.
