I would also vote for the "homecoming" show at the Strand many years ago.

I think it's a dead heat between the content on SFBM and opening for Nickelback. Jesus...........I had no idea they opened for that putrid excuse for a band. Where?? Thinking back, was it for a short run of shows (or maybe a show) up in Canada? Curious.

It was a short tour (a dozen shows) in January and February of 2006. It was only in Canada.

I wouldn't say that was embarrassing, but rather a massive letdown for all fans who attended and for fans that lived vicariously through the show. Live has a history of over promising - the Strand show was just another one...

they could theoretically destroy all physical copies of the album (there aren't that many), and get some computer hacking whizz to somehow delete the digital stuff and it would all be undone. Dan...you're good with computers right?

Yeah Dan we need you to step up here buddy!

If I wanted to increase my fanbase as a band, I'd open for Nickelback.

It has always been really hard to introduce my friends to Live, even with good albums like "Throwing Copper" and "Secret Samadhi". From the time they released "V" to the end, it just became "Mission: Impossible".

So the most embarrassing thing would be between releasing "V" and "SFBM" (music, lyrics, music videos, live performances, interviews, everything sucked).

That's the thing, you can hide the fact they opened for Nickelback, but if you introduce Live to new people with songs from TC or SS and they really like it, you can say "yeah but only get the first 4 albums", curiosity will get the better of them, and they'll download V, BOP and SFBM ... and then the horse is out of the barn, you turned a perspective new Live fan into a non-fan.

AH the nickleback tour, thankfully it was only in canada,

Me and Tina flew up to Ottawa, hooked up with Nat and Digital Dan, froze our asses off and went to see an opening band.
