Did anyone watch the latest episode of Game Of Thrones? ... holy fucking shit! I had high expectations from the books for that and they smashed it!

If Top Gear isn't listed, the entire thing should be tossed in the trash. Clarkson, Hammond, and May are icons.

By the way, The Battle of Blackwater Bay was intense last night on Game of Thrones.

It was amazing, they did battle scenes better than some huge budget movies. Loved some of the changes from the book, Stannis actually being on the front line and having to be physically dragged away from the battle at the end. The Hound's "fuck the kings guard, fuck the king" was so good. Amazing TV.

Nice spoilers there Poke-man! Probably should edit those ya dig.

Also I like the Game of Thrones series but I wouldn't consider it a best TV show simply because it has such strong source material already. This award would definitely go to Mad Men for me, especially after this week.

Know what show had a ton of potential and has totally shit the bed? The Killing. Good gawd.

No real spoilers there tongue.gif it's aired and doesn't give away any crucial plot details!

I'm still meh on Mad Men, season started strong but it's lost me a bit even though I continue to watch. I don't dislike it in any way, just... Can't quite put my finger on it.

I went back and gave the 2nd half of season 2 of Walking Dead a try... Fuck I can't recall a show in recent memory where I hated every single character. I was so on the side of the zombies to eat those charisma vacuumes alive. Especially the old man Dale, fuck he is annoying. Talk about a show that started with promise and then dived head first into the toilet.

Game of Thrones is still no.1 for me of shows currently still on the air. The source material is strong but I feel like they're improving on it (mostly), like the books were like a rough draft for the show.

haha that's brilliant! There's been some good videos recently, the Lily Allen one of her song "Alfie" (about her brother Alfie Allen aka Theon) done with bits of film from GOT is great. I can't seem to find it now but some lines just married up perfectly like "oh little Brother please refrain from doing that", as he was hacking the dude's head off.

These "attack campaign" videos are hilarious too, done in the US political style smear campaign adverts:

I never realised they were related!
Actually Alfie Allena and Natalia Tena (Osha) are in Perth this weekend for the Supanova nerd convention.

Yeah it was weird having listened to the song for years and then suddenly applying it to an actual person now, Theon of all people, but it still works haha

That's awesome, did you go? I've never been to a convention before, I always figured it was just stepping into a world I couldn't handle, I mean I like Batman don't get me wrong, but I would be lost in the argument of what shade of gold his belt was in issue #314.
Although I nearly went to one here a few years back because it was cheap and I really wanted a photo with Ernie Hudson because, well, it's Ernie Hudson.

Nah, didn't go this time. I went in 2010 and saw Summer Glau. Spent 1 hour in a Q&A session which was pretty neat. Also saw Michael Winslow (dude from Police Academy) do a Q&A session and a short show.

There's certainly a certain fanboy element to the Expo but if you just want to go there to get a pic/autograph of your favourite star and attend a workshop/Q&A session then you can avoid that smile.gif

The Wire is decent, but not as great as people say, i just don't get the praise for that show, kinda boring.

The Walking Dead is great.
Game of Thrones is Great.
You guys should check out the series Outlander.
Quarry is another great new series.
I love Supernatural, it's really good.
Stranger Things was pretty cool.
