I can't read all of this, I have to mourn the celtics loss properly with a lot of beer.
But I have to say - am I the only one who thought it oddly homo-erotic (not that there's anything wrong with that) the way the DJ seemed REALLY excited to hear about KM's sex life, both past and present? I mean, KM handled it like a champ, but I just feel like it was a public conversation and I think the DJ spent a lot of time asking about how much "ass" KM has gotten, and came back to the topic a few times.
It was weird.

I don't know about homo-erotic, but it was definitely douchebag-neurotic. I guess that's just typical of the cock rock mentality of a lot of rock radio DJs.

When I initially heard KM's comments regarding Ed in this interview, I also had the fleeting thought that it was about the band getting back together (and I did also flashback to the March York show where KM said things about reconciling), but I gave it 2 seconds of reflection, and I feel like "it's a great band" was more of an echo of whatever the DJ's comment was (because the DJ clearly doesn't know LIVE is together with a new singer) than a call for the band to be reformed with Ed.
and then I stopped thinking about it and started solving the puzzles inside the beer caps.

My life is hard, ya'll.

have a good night.

Glad I didn't dream up what KM said at the Strand.

I'm not doubting OTD's insider status....
I'm questioning why tell me to take it with a grain of salt when it comes from a straight shooter....I tend to take them literally.

From what I know??

Ed will not be rejoining Live period. KM can think and say whatever he wants, it's just entirely unlikely to ever happen.

I will say for one, that if anyone, including KM, thinks it's OK for CCP to get back together with ED after everything that happened? He's a fucking idiot, plain and simple.

However, I think KM is just trying to be Mr Peacemaker. The band was great once, but with Ed demanding creative control?? The band had absolutely no future. I can tell you one thing for sure, that is if they ever do get back together and they release one single song ALA The River or any of that shit?? I'm fucking entirely done supporting any of them. They completely sacrificed their artistic integrity once for the good of the band and themselves. If they knowingly do it again? I won't be around to support of speak a single word of them ever again.

But yeah, from what I know?? It's simply not happening unless Ed concedes creative control and it goes back to where it was before. But I think any of CCP will tell you, their idea of rock and what LIVE is, is far different than what Ed thinks it is, that's for god damned sure. I would love to see them rekindle some kind of friendship and common ground again, but musically?? I will not EVER support Ed fronting this band again......and I don't think I EVER have anything to worry about in that regard.

Whew!! saw who this post was from before I read it and got a little nervous... j/k LR77!

Anyway, even with all my posts in this thread, it's clear from your post that I failed to convey what I was trying to say all along. That's on me, though.....
I could try again, but won't put y'all through that......

Don't worry +LIVE+ is going forward with Chris Shinn on vocals some of you folks around here have straight jumped over the cliff on this one. Quit trying to read into this situation more than just what it is, I realize we are all impatient at times, but damn calm the fuck down. +LIVE+ will be in the studio soon and things will be moving forward. If my life wasn't stressful enough, this place would send me over the edge for sure. I've stayed away from all of this on purpose all that needs to be said is I'm representin' today keepin' real guys, just keepin' it real.

Absolute cockhead, wank artist of a DJ. When he was going on about the hot chicks he was making out with all I could think of was Ewww and in your wet dreams mate. I think KM interviews well and he's quick - which may account for the comments about Ed compared to CCP...whilst there is no excuse for that crap Ed wanted to churn out, I'd be pretty pissed off and looking to part ways if my partners were sitting around doing weed....KM makes them sound unmotivated...maybe Ed's choices were making them like that. Hard to get motivated about that kinda stuff but the way KM spoke of CCP sounds like that's just them. I'd wanna be assocciated with do'ers.....hate learning more about this!

I figured you were, but thought it was worth giving you some shit about.

On topic, from all I've seen and read about CCP, they seem like hard-working guys, but grounded and willing to give up the rock-star route for family and other pursuits. EK seems one-track focused on music and performing, which works for him. CT especially seems to have other artistic pursuits, which may get in the way of rushing out new Live or TGF.

I felt sorry for KM having to deal with the d-bag d-jay, more than anything.

I just wished people on here would relax, CCP are about music yes, but they hold other pursuits as well. New +LIVE+ music will be here soon enough, that I am assured of. I love +LIVE+ as much or more than many of you one some levels, but the reality is that new music needs to be quality and not every band in the world wants to open up the process to its fan base totally. I know in this information age where we seem to get a behind the scene's look at so much most people on here seem to want an online diary of sorts of the whole process. I for one know that good music is on the way, because I put my trust in the guys that they know what is best. I know that statement will turn some off, but at this point what else do you have to hold on to? In the meantime enjoy the new/old tracks that have been released on the website, enjoy the YouTube videos, and stay positive. Maybe I'm asking too much.

The fact that CT posted the info about the tracks being ready for vocals is enough to make me sit back now and relax. The timing of his post seemed to be in direct response to the questions/doubts that were being discussed here late last week. Looks they do see and hear what goes on around here so that's probably a lot more then other bands.
