No, just questioning whether Live is committed to CS or want Ed back and whether or not they will support Live unless they get some confirmation or something. They don't owe some confirmation and KM doesn't owe some explanation. He's free to feel whatever he wants. Has no impact on what Live does. Live already stated that CS is the singer and did several things with him as singer only a few months ago. Just because a little time has lapsed or KM said they should "work things out" doesn't mean CCP aren't committed to CS.

This is the wise and correct way to take the video interview. yay.gif

Huh? All the talking has been about why they broke up not if live will put out a new album. They already put out tgf disc.

Um, no it's not why they broke up.............. it's about a few words KM stated.

and for those who didn't see the latest.

This is a really exciting time for me and can't wait to hear his voice on these tracks. Fun, fun, fun but time for a weekend of rest.

What we need is for Kevin to post a message here clarifying what he said and pacifying all of us insecure whiny worriers until we find the next thing to worry about.

I think it is obvious by now that I just have a ton of pent-up passion and excitement for Live and no place to direct it. I'm like a 14 year old boy with two broken hands in an all-male boarding school.

I really don't think we need that. It's not like dragging him before the court to answer for his statements. I can't believe how much dissecting has gone on of the words of a man who is not even part of Live. He's a fan like the rest of us. He can say whatever he wants, that he hopes Ed comes back, that he hopes Ed and the guys repair their friendship, that he hopes Ed catches fire etc... It's just one man's opinion and you guys are taking it way too seriously like it means anything more than that.

what you bolded was not me saying you......

tough to crack you mainers surrender.gif

Ok,OTD...I'm cracked.
But not because you've convinced me, but because it's a useless (not silly) debate. My opinion won't change and neither will yours. The only reason it went on as long as it did is because I had to clarify each time my words became twisted.
I still think if posters here had said anything close to what KM had said they'd never hear the end of it.
Oops, that was kinda continuing it, wasn't it?

I will say kudos for keeping the debate civil.....see you at the next one IPB Image

I wasn't really suggesting that KM post something. It was a joke. If the demand that KM post wasn't absurd enough, I thought the crack about having the frustration level of a 14 year old boy with 2 broken hands would have really demonstrated how silly I was trying to be.

and on a more important note....oh his voice is sexy.

And now I wanna know who his Aussie wife is?

And why, with his Aussie connection, can't you buy a Candlebox album in this country?

The funny thing is that Live have already played two shows with CS, inviting en masse numerous members of this forum to one of them, and they have been/are recording an album (or an album's worth of songs) with CS. I don't know what they're paying to record these new songs but I'm betting it's a lot of bread to lay down on somebody they're not sure of. Not to mention the press they've already laid down confirming the change at singer...

...yet people are still doubting whether or not they're committed to him because of one off the cuff remark by KM about their busted ass relationship with Ed.

Come on now, peerples. High on logic, low on emotion... think it through.

Exactly this.

Actually, come to think of it, CT hasn't mentioned that CS is the singer today ... he did yesterday, but as of today, NOTHING! Do you think CS is still in Live??

I feel what you are saying, but those seeds of doubt were sowed by the CS and Blind Melon situation. Deserved or not (probably not), there is prior reason to be unsure of it at this juncture. I haven't doubted it but I can understand where some might fear a similar situation occurring.

There were rumours that Chris Shinn recorded an album with Blind Melon as their new vocalist but there was not a single track to surface from that sessions.

The long and short of it is that he was the planned singer for one of their tours, it was announced but never materialized. I believe it was due to the short time frame for rehearsals, but all of that may be entering the rumor territory already.

I can't read all of this, I have to mourn the celtics loss properly with a lot of beer.
But I have to say - am I the only one who thought it oddly homo-erotic (not that there's anything wrong with that) the way the DJ seemed REALLY excited to hear about KM's sex life, both past and present? I mean, KM handled it like a champ, but I just feel like it was a public conversation and I think the DJ spent a lot of time asking about how much "ass" KM has gotten, and came back to the topic a few times.
It was weird.

When I initially heard KM's comments regarding Ed in this interview, I also had the fleeting thought that it was about the band getting back together (and I did also flashback to the March York show where KM said things about reconciling), but I gave it 2 seconds of reflection, and I feel like "it's a great band" was more of an echo of whatever the DJ's comment was (because the DJ clearly doesn't know LIVE is together with a new singer) than a call for the band to be reformed with Ed.
and then I stopped thinking about it and started solving the puzzles inside the beer caps.

My life is hard, ya'll.

have a good night.
