Wow, let the speculation run wild. I thought the part about CCP taking their time might be relevant since they do seem to be taking their time (whatever that means) but other than that I wasn't swayed too much by what KM said. I think the path of Live has been carved already and it doesn't seem that EK will be part of it anytime soon. I guess until the next announcement or whatever from Live the speculation will be rampant. They came out and announced CS as the singer, launched a new website with CS doing Live songs, played a few shows, etc. I'm still under the impression that CS is the singer until I hear something concrete otherwise.

Agreed 100%. Although a quick message from the guys telling us knuckleheads to calm the fuck down would go along way. And a video clip, audio clip, private studio tour for the loyal fans, etc...

No, just questioning whether Live is committed to CS or want Ed back and whether or not they will support Live unless they get some confirmation or something. They don't owe some confirmation and KM doesn't owe some explanation. He's free to feel whatever he wants. Has no impact on what Live does. Live already stated that CS is the singer and did several things with him as singer only a few months ago. Just because a little time has lapsed or KM said they should "work things out" doesn't mean CCP aren't committed to CS.

At this point i'm not interested in Ed and the boys getting back together simply because I think it would result in more of the same.

Chris Shinn has a cool voice and a great attitude so i'm very interested to see what the boys can do with him.

I'm also very much looking forward to hearing the next TGF album.

All that being said, i'm still holding out hope that someday Ed gets back that magical quality in his voice and the complexity in his lyrics.

So OTD...we really don't need KM to come and clarify, do we?
You are stating that as an insider you can speak for KM and say definitively that KM does not want Live back together in it's original formation, so therefore he wasn't saying work it out, get back together.
Correct?

They were friends first, then bandmates...Martin is saying repair the friendship. Take it your own way and keep up with the silly debate.......I think CT let it be known what's up.

I come here and try to give some sense and people will form whatever cockneyed opinion on it.....This is the norm though for Live messageboards throughout history.

Guess what...........when I heard Kev say that, I knew he meant repair the friendship. Shinn is the new singer, Ed's not coming back. He doesn't have the stones at this point to come back. Live is moving forward with Chris Shinn.

Live coming back to the original four needs a lot of time and a lot of repair. If they get past their differences (the friend thing first), then the other band drama, then perhaps some years down the road could happen. I'd rather have Chris at this point. I have a tough time stomaching how Ed performs the old hard edged classics.....it's hard for him to go to that place which is sad. The other 3 didn't change (even with family), Ed took a different path.
