A buck a song if you buy them individually, $9.99 for the whole album. The quality is perfectly fine for me shrug.gif But then again I'm not all that technologically advanced as some other people.

Good news! The only thing I hate about iTunes is that the mp3's that they offer are shitty sounding 128 kbps. I don't understand why they can't offer 192 kbps or VBR mp3's? angry.gif

That's the thing--they're not MP3's. They're AAC, which is a more advanced format and can offer better sound quality at a lower bit rate. At higher bit rates, the two formats are comparable, but at the lower end, AAC dominates MP3.

At most places I've read, people usually compare 128 kbps AAC to sounding as good as 192 kbps MP3.

Its already #21 on the top 100 album charts. I'm sure American Idol will give it a nice jump. This is very exciting!

It's gone up three spots to #18 in just a half hour. I can't wait to see it after Wednesday night.

They still sound horrid. I downloaded some Weezer tracks off of iTunes and compared them against some pure source cd's I had and the quality difference is like night and day. I invite you to do the same. If you have an album on cd and also bought on iTunes, listen to them both on a system that has decent speakers and you'll be able to notice a big difference.

Its number 17 now...better than Nick Lachey, not quite as good as Ashley Parker Angel.

Check out the top 10 pop albums, Live is number three!

The true test of American Idol's power will be shown if Mystery starts charting in the Top 100 singles on iTunes. We'll see tomorrow what happens.

As for me, I am not downloading it. I still get excited going to the store on release day and grabbing the new disc, so that is what I shall do.

Also, I am not bothered by the fact that it is categorized as "pop". Labels are subjective. There is no planet on which Ashley Parker Angel and Daniel Powter are rock and Live is pop. Sorry, that's just retarted.

just to let you all know, SFBM is also available on FYE's download service.

Only thing, the format of those is shitty 128 kbps WMA files, which are worse than AAC or mp3.

Oh and Dan, the stuff I've downloaded from iTunes are much superior than anything I've gotten from Limewire.

EDIT: SFBM is currently #16 on iTunes.

Just a quick update on SFBM's progress: It's moved up to number 12.

This is excellent.
