I was throwing a massive joke his way.

So were you saying Ramy was a dickhead to your and your friends?

No no, Ramy was a gentleman and funny actually, when the venue starts, I just tell to my friends, that they didn't know all the back stories, that I hate Ramy, and I just say in a joke "I hate him because he stole the love from Ed to Chad Gracey" But he was ok, and good person, really... But was Ed and his rockstar face... I'm a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro, and here in Mexico (as a mexican) we love him, but all the times that I've seen him, he was such a gentleman, a doll, really great guy and empathic man. Ed since SFBM, you can recognize his face, his media face... I have the hope that he'll change his attitude in a place where when I say, "I love Live" they say "Whaaat?" "who?" and I said "ahm, Dolphin's cry... mmm Love will lead us, alright?" "Ahh yeah yeah... I didn't know their names..."

Ed is not a rock star here, so it differs with his attitude, and let me tell you this, I'm no saying that because of the tickets, actually I'm just saying a chronicle of the situation, I'm just saying that He can be better, I know that he was better because I've read things from him since 98... And before, but I didn't know who they were... And it's sad that a person that you follow, and mark your life since a kid... Let you this bad taste... Beacuse he used to be, in your way, a better man...

Also, I know that this would be a moment, he is a person, anyway... But all tat I'm saying is how i feel, and what happens... not more or less... And we can do jokes about it, about what I think of the administrator of FB, is Nick right..? and it's not personal, is just that I really really thought that... "Man, maybe nick read my topics and he tells Ed, 'he's not a fan, he's a bully... he says this about you in fansoflive..." or something, I really thought so... XD jajaja And I didn't met you or know you... fuckin' media, gives you heros and villians, and in the end... the love you take is equal to the love you make... PD. Paul will play for free on may 10th in Mexico City! XD

Don't worry about what Nick would think about your thoughts after meeting Ed. You should have read what Nick wrote about Ed after the first time he met Ed. It resulted in a war with Jimmy Lang and Nick getting banned from the firendsoflive.com official Live message board. I wish I had kept those message board posts. I bet money that Jimmy has them on his computer somewhere.

I figured as much. Jimmy is more of a God with the computer than he is with a camera - and that is saying something. He hosted that whole operation on his computer in his home, for free, for the fans, for the band, for years. He is a one-man wayback machine.

He also went out of his way to identify and reach out to fans for every show, and take the time to meet up with them and give them meet and greet passes, especially if they had never met the band and they were big fans. That is how Nick got his first meet and greet pass to meet the band, which was followed by him trashing Ed on the message board - which embarrassed Jimmy because he was the guy who got him the pass as a favor. Jimmy granted a lot of wishes. And he hung out and made sure the fans got in, got to talk to the band, and had a good experience. If something wasn't going right, he would come out and resolve it. I can't tell you how much of his personal time, attention, and money he generously gave to people he doesn't know. My favorite hobby in the world is shooting photos of Live shows. How did I get started? Because Jimmy knew I had an interest in it and he went out of his way to procure photo passes for a show many years ago, so that I could shoot the band in the photo pit. That was no small feat. I am sure it involved twisting the tour manager's arm and inconveniencing him on show day to get me a pass. I didn't even know Jimmy at all. He did it because I was a Live fan and he was like a self-appointed ambassador to the fans for the band.

I'm done with my Jimmy plug. I just think that he has taken too much undeserved crap over the years and people don't appreciate how generous he is.

When I finally got the chance to meet him and hang with him for the Austin gig, it was walking down memory lane with Live. The day was certainly memorable to me as a long time fan and supporter. He's still got the server. He was a cog in the Live machine and will be still!!

So what happened that Nick went from trashing Ed at one point to now eating and worshiping Ed's trash? I would have never imagined Nick doing that if you guys didn't say so.

This is based on memory, so i may be a little off on the details, but i have a pretty good memory. Jimmy got Nick a meet and greet pass for a show. In the concert review thread after the show, Nick posted that Ed was a jerk to him, he blew him off, and Nick stated that it was because Ed was all drugged out. Jimmy and others told Nick he was out of line and was making assumptions about something he knew nothing about. Nick was insistent that Ed was obviously on something. Nick just wouldn't let it go. After many warnings and arguments with various people, Nick got banned from the message board.

livebat, thank you so much for your review!! I met Ramy once, too, and he is a super nice guy. I'm glad he treated you so well!!

I am really looking forward to any recordings of this show you might have. Especially this new song The Garden.

It's interesting to me that he put up a clip of I'm The Proof but has neglected to play it twice even though it's on the setlist.

Don't worry about your English, Livebat - the only thing I can do in Spanish is order food and insult people, so I think you're doing just fine!!! tongue.gif

It certainly won't be the garden of the gardener he became friendly with during the SS era.

I have been holding back after I read this all. But now I will give it out.

Remember when TGF performed in Holland? I was going to hop over, when I suddenly faced some issues with time and money, so I had to miss the gig with my friends being there... However that is not what I wanted to say.

When I posted it on FB, wioshing guys good luck and simply stating "Too bad I can not be there to support you and show the love", I immediately got a message from Chd T, saying: bud, how much money do you need to come over?

I was in a sincere shock to receive a reaction like that.

I am not a beggar. I do not receive THAT much money, but if it had not been for some other issues, I would for sure hop over, so I just thanked him from my heart and said it was not needed.

But just a thought. I never asked and was offered. Just the other side of the coin I guess.
