Ed Kowalczyk - I Alone Acoustic Tour, No more, no less... Options

I gotta tell the story. I've been fan for Live circa 98, and when they came to México in 99, I missed them cause I used to live in Cozumel. So, I missed that one... Funny story, I just start a project and I invest all my money for the month 2 months ago, so when I notice that Ed was comin', I just get mad... So, I pawn my tv flat screen, for food and rent, I live in Guanajuato (to 800 pesos of distance to Mexico city, place of the venue), but I don't have the ticket... I've send this comment to his FB page...

"Hello Ed. I'm a huge fan of you since 98, and right now I'm living in Guanajuato México, and can't afford to buy a ticket for your concert in Mexico City on april 21. I don't know if your staff can help me, I can buy my ticket from Guanajuato to Mexico, but that's all... I'm a really huge fan... really, please make some effort to make me enjoy the concert. I've been waiting for this so long... Thank you and God blessed you!

I start to put my efforts in win a ticket, fortunatelly, in Mix 105, at the last minute, I win 4 tickets to the concert... I was in the front row... Sing all the songs, enjoy it like a leprechaun (as we said in my family), even Ramy notice me and said that there was a lot of passion in me back there. This is just one side of the coin, and another is the gald in the concert. The people, as I know, they only knew some songs from Live, I am, without a doubt, the fan 1 of Live, Ed, Gracious Few, and all the multiverse around them... I know it... It bothers me that I didn't have an answer for him, Even Ramy starts to talk to me when they came out, he just watch over your head, and talk with girls... Man, even the guys are fans, and when they came out, we were arond 20 people. Not too much for a rock star, and 3 of them people who went because of me...

I don't know if I can get a point, or get to express well, with my english and all... But anyhow... This is the story... And, this is the Playlist:

Actually I understand why he wouldn't respond. You put him in a difficult situation. Basically begging to get you into a show.
If he/his people help you out then this could be a can of worms where other fans start asking to get in for free. I've seen this happen to other musicians and it's best not to answer such emails.
I wouldn't, nor would I put another in this situation. I'd feel weird. It's not the end of the world.
Either way, it all worked out for you so be happy with that.

Nothing wrong with messaging someone on Facebook and making their day, I don't think Facebook traffic to Ed's page is too overwhelming for that.

This was after the show...hardly anyone was interested in the meet and greet?
Ed was being a whore dog, only interested in speaking with the ladies?

So all in all, what did you think of the show? Lots of people there?

Exactly, that's what I mean... Certainly, Remy was a great guy, who since they start to leave the venue, he recognize me and told me that, watching me in the eyes, when I starts to talk to Ed, he preffer to look at other ways... I understand the situation, but my point is, he knows that a few people knows him, he use the title of "Vocalist from Live" instead "Former vocalist from Live", I'm not saying that I want a free ticket, but he could answer, I don't know, hope you make it, see ya outside, anything would give me hope to see him... I became musician for him, he impact me in such way to my side to see life... So, I'm, really and for those who read me here since 2003 or 04 can't remember, I'm a big, big fan, mexican fan, the other fans of their music are ex girlfriends or friends, and not all...

Remy starts talking with me, you can see it in the pictures on my FB page (the link is in the topic start) The show is much of the same, I even know what songs he'll start to play because is the same argument, I must say that it was a shock to watch boxes in the Ramy's drums... Sounds well! The surprise of Shit Towne and PLORS, was awesome! I love the new song "The Garden"! In a few days I'll Upload the song, they don't let me use my camera inside, so a friends record it with his cel phone.

And yes, he was a dog... During the show, Ramy give me a sign like "A'right" because he saw me in the public, after show (pics) He recognizes me, and start to talk to me. The people of meet and greet was juniors, ahhmmm people with money, not fans, I can tell you that because I ask them when starts to came out, and other won that in Rolling Stone magazine and other things...

And other thing, I used to suscribe me in Homespun. I can't remember the things they got there, but, I remember it includes a meet and greet, they never came in that time to Mexico... So It's sad, he could say to me, "man, I can't give a ticket, but I can autograph anything" Ramy and Ed hear my story of the money and Guanajuato and stuff... And the only response, came from Ramy... That's the redundant and bad written in english story of Ed in Mexico...

PS. Even Ramy told, "we're going to eat, right next to the venue, we're starving! wanna come?"

but what can I say? I have no money... so I decline... true story...

I like more The Garden that "I'm The proof" Ahh I can't remember the lyrics, but let me tell you, was a great song, more like between Drink and Drive... And is great that you enjoy the story... A day before I saw at León Guanajuato to John Malkovich in Dairy of a Killer, with music of Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc. And a year excatly of the venue of Ed I met to the love of my life in Guanajuato, so a friend told me that the Law of strings is attached on my life, I don't know, with the goods and bads, I can tell that I just left to do a Threesome (not with anybody I'm pointing here), know Chad, Chad and Patrick, know Christopher Nolan and Dave Grohl, and that's it... Jajaja, man I hate my english... Jajaja
