Look I'm just going to come out and say it. I don't care if it's just a clip, it is completely terrible. It's recycled pop garbage, with some Jesus mixed in. I wish he would actually try, because he's clearly going through the motions with this shit.

I guess people really do change, is the Ed Kowalczyk sitting there listening to that track approving of it seriously the same guy who would have sat around and listened to TBD when it was done? Does he sit there going "this totally stacks up against Unsheathed", does he remember that song exists? Of course not, the real Ed was eaten by a Wolf over 10 years ago.

Did the guys (or even just Ed, I dunno ??) do drugs back in the day? I've heard a few references to one or the other being off their faces. I don't condone drug use at all but i believe for some creative souls out there that they produce their most unique work whilst under the influence. When I look at some of Ed's old lyrics I have to wonder what shit he was on when he made them up lol.gif

His latest lyrics, to me are just dumb cheesy crap - and worse without outstanding musicians behind him but it's like he's a good grown up boy now.

Well that's my theory anyway.

I believe Ed said in the Awake interviews that they were working on Secret Samadhi in Jamaica and were 'very friendly with the gardener.' Go figure! banana.gif

"We've been able to stay pretty clear of hard drugs as well. But we don't deny the experimental natural excursions: they can benefit you if you use them in discretion and moderation. Always moderation. The hard drugs never appealed to me, because they don't lead anywhere positive."
