I am a huge Live fan but have to be honest that my excitement for this show kept declining after the announcement that they would be opening up for Counting Crows, after hearing Love Lounge, and after reading some disappointing concert reviews.

BUT, I have to say the boys won me back over last night. Their performance was full of energy even though the amphitheatre wasnt nearly full. Also, it was still daylight for most of the set and the Counting Crows fans were lifeless. Ed sounded great. I remember hearing his voice on their first New Year's Eve reunion show and was worried he lost it, but that is not the case. Also someone mentioned CT's guitar skills slipping but he was up front shredding and having fun.

Yes, the setlist was the same but Jerry Harrison was a special guest on The Distance and they broke out into a little bit of Take Me to the River.

To sum it up, the boys didnt seem like they were just going through the motions, put on an energetic show, and Love Lounge sounded much better "Live". Can't wait for a smaller venue headlining show now.
