Favourite Android apps Options

Who's bucked the Apple trend and got themselves an Android phone or tablet? What are your favourite apps?

Here's a few that I would recommend.

1. Manuganu. A free platform game that looks excellent and plays really well.

2. 3G Watchdog. After hearing countless stories about people getting charged exorbitant rates after exceeding their data quota on the phone plan, this should be the first app you install. Basically you enter in how much your monthly data quota is (ie. 2GB) and then the app monitors your usage and warns you as you approach your limit. The app will even block you from using the internet before you exceed your limit (ie. 90%) if you like.
The app is smart enough to know when you're using your home WiFi as well.

3. WhatsApp or Viber
These apps allow you to use your data (3G/4G or WiFi) connection to make free phone calls and send text messages (and photos) to other WhatsApp and Viber users. There's no need to sign up for an account - it uses your phone number as an identifier. Once you install the app it will scan your contact list and display the contacts who also have installed WhatsApp or Viber.
WhatsApp only does text/picture messaging while Viber also does phone calls.
