Woohoo an Denver date! Too bad the Paramount is reserved seating. Crossing my fingers for a presale, so I have a chance at getting decent seats!

Finally all those years of paying for HomeSpun have paid off (not that I don't enjoy a CD of "unreleased material" that most of us already have). FOL is doing a presale!!! This is a first (at least for a show near me). Since the Paramount is reserved seating this should give us a good chance at getting good seats!

Does anyone have any idea if there is a ticket limit for the presale?

Good review of the concert… I’ve been a die-hard since ‘91, but my husband has mostly just “tolerated” them because I’m such a huge fan…until Friday night, that is. About ½ way through the concert, he turned to me and yelled, “Holy sh*t, these guys are really good! This is amazing!” I’ve been telling people for years that you have to see these guys in concert before you fully appreciate what a great band they are… That brings my official tally of converted to 5.

I was hoping they would play some of their older stuff – and they really delivered. My favorite song was definitely “Lakini’s Juice.” My God, it was soooo f*cking good...I nearly had an orgasm!! The only other song I wished for (but didn’t get) was “Sh*t Towne.” I would have also enjoyed “Pain Lies…”, since that’s the song that first made me a fan, but hearing “Mirror Song” was almost just as good – I almost cried when Ed was singing it. Ahhh…it really took me back to all those high school inner-turmoil years.

The new stuff sounded good, but it’s far less…edgy. Ed’s song writing style seems to have mellowed quite a bit, but I think it’s just that natural thing that happens when you hit your early-mid 30s. At any rate, as long as they keep playing songs from the entire library, I’ll be happy. I also think Ed should scale back a bit on the cheesy here’s-where-I-show-off-my-sexy-abs routine. I know Ed loves to put on a show for the ladies, but that’s boy-band material.

I hope Ed keeps his promise about being back in the fall…
