Finally caught up reading this thread. I was at the show with my buddy Possum. First, a sincere thank you to Zman and Thrill for hooking us up with great seats. Hard to beat the front row! It was also cool meeting some of the other fine folks on this board.

I'll keep this review short and sweet since the show has already been (well) documented. Long day of work and gloriously tired after a late night, but well worth it.

I'm ecstatic that Live is back, and think Chris Shinn will grow into the lead singer role based on what I saw last night. Was he great last night? Far from it. He had major problems with the lyrics with Freaks, Sparkle, WD and TBD. But I'll cut the guy some slack. These aren't 'his' songs and this was his first time out. Time, shows and repetition will take care of this. I'm sure he was mildly disappointed in himself last night, but he gutted it out and there certainly were many high points as well. I spent alot of this show just taking it all in and trying to process just WTF I was watching...........Live. In York. Rocking the house! I have my band back, and that makes me happy beyond words. Chris is not Ed, and I'm not looking for an Ed clone. The dude can sing and does Live's catalog justice. There is NO question about that. He completely nailed DAOC. Amazing and easily the highlight of the show, at least for me. This has always been my favorite opener, and brought me back to the mid 90's and TC days. That moment alone made it worth the trip.

As for the rest of the band, what can I say.........stellar as always. I loved the setlist choices (with the exception of LC), including TBD to close the show. Live rocked last night. Simple as that, and I can't wait to see and hear more! I think the potential is there for these boys, and can't wait to see how this evolves over time. I for one will be along for the ride. And to close this out, I say welcome aboard and good luck to Mr. Chris Shinn. I think CCP made a wise choice.
