The older version I have of tattoo, is much heavier. the producer made this version more popier. His forte......I still don't.like it. The rest, love it.

Tattoo is the closest thing to a radio single that there is on this album. It is the only thing that you can say is in the same genre sphere as Jump. The other song that could potentially be a single is Bloood and Fire (which I can't get out of my head). The rest of the album melted my face off and set my hair on fire. It is really heavy. Lots of guitars and drums and bass. It sounds nothing like Tattoo. If anything, they turned away hard core VH fans by choosing Tattoo as the first single. I love this whole thing. It did me a favor. I am not even thinking about new Live anymore. I am just enjoying Van Halen right now. I listen to this album and I am 18 again. I am now bench pressing 475 pounds and the other day, I played this album and Chuck Norris tried to friend me on Facebook and asked if he can carry my lunch tray for me. Then Giselle called and said that she was leaving Tom Brady so that she could have a threesome with me and my wife. Everything is better with A Different Kind of Truth. If you don't like this album, you are objectively and verifiably wrong.

Or you're not obsessed with reliving your past. The picture you paint of these glorious youthful times sounds rather pathetic. Yeah, I remember those days. I lived it too. It was great. I can pop in VH 1984 and I'm instantly transported to the days when I first got my license and installed a jamming cassette player to crank my VH. So on the rare occasion that I hear a VH song on the radio or I spin 1984, it brings a nice smile to my face. That's about it. I have no need to connect so deeply with those times. Life is great right now. I'm still as youthful as ever. Life is my oyster. Plenty of new music to discover and be inspired by the same way I was back then. Only now I don't need to go around displaying my testosterone level to the chicks as I drive by in my Trans Am with the t-tops off in my muscle shirt fresh from my trip to the gym and the tanning spa dripping with the fresh scent of Drakkar Noir. Happy that this VH can take you to that happy place, but your insistence that everyone should like this as you do is entirely based on your need to relive your youth.

Lighten up Francis. I would hope that you could see that my tongue was firmly implanted in cheek. For your sake, I hope you don't take yourself that seriously and you are kidding and don't think that I am literally reliving my youth and literally think everyone should like this. This album is good and fun and I am celebrating it. I love to squeeze every drop of fun out of life. I hate to explain a joke, but my silly comments in my last post were an homage to the Amazon reviews of the Three Wolves shirt. If you haven't seen that, Google it or look it up on Amazon. I was using hyperbole for comedic effect. Just having a little fun.
