This new album completely and totally rocks. These guys are past middle age and they made an album that sounds like they are 18. This is real Van Halen. Perfect album. I have literally waited more than half my life for this and it exceeded my expectations by far! Talk about delivering a tall order. Anyone who doesn't like it or doesn't get it should have their ears taken away. I can't wait for this concert!

P.S. - Van Halen has proven that they still have fuel in the tank the way CCP proved it with TGF.

Yeah, I checked it out. Certainly better songs than Tattoo but it's not that great. Dave's voice is gone. Michael's is gone literally. Eddie brings it and Alex brings it. Instrumentally it's pretty strong. I've got to give them that. You know they pro-tooled the crap out of Dave's vocals. Based on the youtube clips so far there is nothing that would get me excited to go see them. I don't really see much reason to buy it either. There are plenty of classic DLR VH albums to keep me satisfied. I think it's an injustice to compare TGF and VH. TGF doesn't need any studio help to prove they rock. They're just as good in concert. No way you can say the same about VH, at least with Dave. Plus his stage theatrics are just ridiculous. No thanks.
