First off, you need to acknowledge a Power higher than the Beatles (Chris' encore tune, John Lennon cover, etc. etc.) I mean, I know the world esteems the Beatles very highly, but as a Christian I am "in the world, but not of it". Therefore, give me some Gospel music in your SET OR THE KID IS gonna leave a little empty! ummm....reference...U2..nuff said...You gotta admit, Chris would sing some Gospel like a MOFO! let's start a page for a CHRIS CORNELL GOSPEL RECORD. I'm serious, that shit would be bananas. Worked for Elvis. Just Sayin'.

Brian R. Forberger: Ed, have you ever heard Say Hello To Heaven by Temple of the Dog? That was Chris doing as close to gospel as you may find. Fantastic song.

Ed Kowalczyk: ‎(Ed K.) Thanks Brian, I do know that song! It's a great one. I'm just saying that when Chris sings, I sincerely hear a God-Given talent but at the moment it's singing a majority of darker content. For me, it's like watching Michael Jordan playing baseball, not. quite. right. :-)

Has he gone nuts? Seriously critiquing Chris Cornell because his songs aren't right with Jesus?

Emma Tonge I have to disagree, I prefer chris's music with a darker side, his voice is so powerful and strong that he can reach those almost untouchable dark sides that few can reach. Fell on black days and I am the highway have such power it's unbelievable....you can get lost in those songs, I think to be able to put that much pain into a song without it being miserable is an art about an hour ago ·
