I'm quite sure it will be exactly Alive II, especially if he stays with the same band and doesn't want to break out of his own standard for years.
If he starts with Zion- and DWLF-ish shit again, there may be hope.

In two recent interviews with Arthur Kade of a radio show in NYC and Brian Shapiro (CBS, LA) Ed talks about his life after LIVE, LIVE, and the future of his solo career.
Asked about his future plans, Ed replied that he will enter the studio this fall and that he hopes to release a single in the fall of 2012
