Q. What is your side of the story about why Live disbanded? Do you ever foresee working with your former band mates again?

A. I had simply come to the end of a chapter in my life and wanted to spread my wings and move beyond what I had been doing, in the same way, for almost 20 years. As far as the allegations that were leveled at me and purported as the reason for the breakup, they were all absolutely untrue. I have no plans to work with those individuals again. The spirit of Live is alive and well in my performances and my new material — come and see for yourself.

And I dont care if it is Chris Zalenka, Chad Kroeger , Rob Thomas, Anouk, Amy Lee, Julian Lennon, or Chris Martin.

Alright, I just did a little internet research. Please take the following points as purely jest, for that is the spirit in which they are intended.

Amy Lee would be a good fit. Apparently, she sued her manager for breach of fiduciary duty, so we know that she thinks like a Live meber. But she is working on a new album with Evanensence. So she is out.

Rob Thomas could be a good fit. According to his website message board, he shut down his fan club and screwed over his already disgruntled fan club members who didn't feel like they got enough for their money, and left them hanging in limbo about whether to renew and what will happen next. So he thinks like a Live member. But he seems to be actively touring with Matchbox 20, so I don't think it's him.

Anouk would be cool. Although I am not sure how I feel about someone with a foreign accent from overseas as the lead singer and she might be too pretty for me to be passoinate about the band without it getting wierd. I never fantasized about Ed and I don't want to start fantasizing about Live's lead singer now.

I have always had a special fondness for Julian Lennon. He got a raw deal from Yoko. I always liked Too Late For Goodbyes. Live could really perform Imagine in concert with him and it would be crazy. Hmmm. Interesting.

Chris Martin. Seriously? That would be insane. But Coldplay just came out with an album. That ain't happening.

Chad Kroeger. Nickleback. That ain't happening.

So according to you, it is either the babe, the Beatle kid or the scratch golfer.
