Live at the Paradiso, Does it represent 20+ years? Options

Howzit... Long time lurker (actually since the 'hiatus'...) and enjoying your posts a lot. Would like your opinion...at the time of Live at the Paradiso, was the magic gone already? Or only later? I saw Live 'live' on 15 and 16 June 2000, and each gig thereafter in Johannesburg...but I really think Live at the Paradiso captured the energy...unless they (ed?) were acting?

I watched Live at Paradiso on the big screen last night. My recommendation to everyone is NOT to watch that concert DVD unless you are ready to have your heart ripped out. Feelings of mourning and sadness, combined with anger and resentment. Wishing I could see it all again someday in the future. Sorry that the music changed after 1999. Admiration for the musical chemistry. Respect for CCP digging deep into their souls and grinding out TGF from the same place that I Alone and Lakini's Juice and I Walk The Line came from. Wondering what Ed would think if he watched it. Oh well. Now excuse me while I go bang my head into a wall and then try to go on with my day.

I tried watching it last week. I'd say with the camera work it's pretty much unwatchable. I wish they would have done a DVD during the SS Tour.

although it would be an awesome timing to film their shows, we wouldnt have the same high quality experience than now it's filmed in 2008

Really, that's why you would be against it? The musical quality would surely close and blow away the gap in production and HD levels.

Paradiso isn't even in HD, it may have been shot in HD but since they did not release a Blu-ray of the concert, all we have is the 480p non-HD version. With that, I'd think something shot in 1999 and released also on DVD, but from a much better era of Live, would be the superior product by a long shot.
