Q. What is your side of the story about why Live disbanded? Do you ever foresee working with your former band mates again?

A. I had simply come to the end of a chapter in my life and wanted to spread my wings and move beyond what I had been doing, in the same way, for almost 20 years. As far as the allegations that were leveled at me and purported as the reason for the breakup, they were all absolutely untrue. I have no plans to work with those individuals again. The spirit of Live is alive and well in my performances and my new material — come and see for yourself.

You know I got total respect for Ed he just wants to close the Live chapter of his life, spread his wings and move on by.... constantly filling up the bulk of his set with sub par versions of Live songs and marketing himself closely to the Live brand. Oh, wait.

To me this says "yep I'm pretty much moving on from Live, but you see I also love money so I'll stoop to anything to get more of it."

As to why Eds side of events stinks to high heavens compared to CCP's? All people are defending Ed are saying are "oh, but maybe Ed is right". Yes we don't have 100% confirmation that what CT has said is right but enough of the dots join up to make it more viable. Even IF what Nick believes is true about TGFs money drying up and they now want Ed to milk the Live cash cow some more that still doesn't mean everything Ed is accused of is wrong, it would just mean CCP were cash desperate now. It wouldn't make Ed any less of a scum bag.
That and the fact that Ed denies allegations are the only bits of "evidence" someone like Nick has. If what CT said was so untrue as Ed said then SURELY they'd not have gone to the trouble of lodging a lawsuit. How can Nick over look that fact yet cling so strongly to the "CCP running back to Ed" theory as proof they were lying.

As long as Ed thinks that he WAS Live and that he alone was responsible for the creativity and commercial success and that it all would have happened the exact same way with unstoppable musical genius of Ed and any other back-up band of session musicians, and as long as Ed thinks that V and BoP and SFBM and Alive are rockin in the true spirit of Live - as long as that is the case, then Live is dead. It is dead regardless of whether Ed wants to reunite or if he doesn't. Because that wasn't Live. And as long as that's the case, Ed doesn't know what Live was. One of the reasons that everyone gets angry at Nick, is that he sees Live and he sees Ed the same way that Ed does.

The only way that any of us will ever see Live again, is if Ed changes his paradigm about Live. So it is up to Ed. That is also the same determining factor for when I will start to support Ed again. I don't think we're going to see it any time soon.
