Boston Radio’s 92.9 announced plans today for their 18th annual EarthFest concert in celebration of Earth Day. The free one day festival will take place at Boston’s Hatch Memorial Shell on Saturday, May 21 with music from OK Go, Ed Kowalczyk (of Live), Sponge and Atomic Tom.

I think it's a disGRACE that there's a hiatus and Ed wants to focus on his "solo" thing while spending 2/3rds of a concert rehashing material that was made with guys he no longer wants to be in a band with.

The proof is right there, hanging out all pink and naked.

Ed wants to play Live material, he just wants to have nobodies backing him. What better of a money grab then to keep doing the same thing, playing the same songs, but taking more of the earnings because you don't have to share with CCP.

Ed is the voice of LIVE, and singing LIVE songs in concert opens up a larger audience to his new material. Simple as that. I also doubt he is making as much money solo as did with LIVE.

Ed bitched, moaned, and put up such a fight because he wanted to go solo. He wanted to be done with Live. He was all about branching out as a solo artist, so that he would be able to make music the way he wanted and perform his music. It's hilarious that he's spending every single concert playing a majority of Live songs during his sets. Sure as hell doesn't look like he's confident in his new music, and is just set on riding the coattails of Live while it can still help his wallet. The guy is a complete fraud. Solo artist, that's complete bullshit. He was only worried about getting a larger piece of the $$$.

It doesn't open up shit, that's just it. You can call it whatever you want, but a spade is a spade. He's cashing in while he still can. He might not be making what he was making, but he's finally running the show and taking the much larger piece of the pie. You think he wants to play these free shows, and shit bars in York, Pa, hell no. It's completely beneath him, and those are his true feelings. I've talked to plenty of people in the know, and have heard countless stories about how he feels entitled to everything and the simple fact that he's coming back to York irritates him.
