I remember this, there are some strange requests indeed, but that is band tour riders in general, there are much stranger/more demanding that Live's.

Always kind of fascinates me when i see these written out. people requesting certain brands of water for example, sure if i go and buy some water i have a brand I prefer, but I find it hard to believe that if I were touring I'd really put much thought into caring what water was there. I'd just drink whatever was around.
I can't remember who's rider it was but there was something like only having m&m's in a certain colour, or having certain colours removed. That's just taking the piss and being a prick because you can.

They do it just to make sure that people actually read the whole rider.

As for the brand stuff, a lot of that comes from above. Record labels are a part of bigger corporations and thus likely in bed with certain distributors.

Some are marked out on here, I'm assuming that is because the arena/venue has their own contracts. Those things aren't deal breakers though, obviously.
