I have the answer. It's the only answer.

Chad Taylor should be the new vocalist of Live. Live should have three official members - Chad, Chad and Patrick, with Sean Hennessy as touring guitarist like Adam was with Live.

Have any of you hear Georgie Case - Ain't No Use? That is it. Georgie Case and the Flatline Drummers must metamorphasize into Live and Live must make an album of songs like Ain"t No Use.

No need to get an Ed replacement that no Live fan will evcer accept.

I will NEVER forget the first time I heard Georgie Case and the Flatline Drummers - Ain't No Use. It was when it was first posted on Chad Taylor's Myspace page. Without any explanation and without any fanfare - it just appears and was streaming. With the band name Georgie Case and the Flatline Drummers and the song name Ain't No Use. I immediately went on the SOY message board and posted a new pst: Who is that new band streaming on Chad's Mayspace page? Who is Georgie Case and the Flatline Drummers?!?! It is awesome! Little did I know at the time that it was Chad's little alter-ego. I would have never guessed that those were Chad's vocals.

Well I say this, and I hope that CCP read this and take notice. If Ed doesn't come back, then go on! Go on as the three of you and perform music that sounds like Johnny Cash and the blues. Do instrumentals. Do rock. Do front porch sessions. Reinvent Live. Make it sound like The Black Keys with distorted vocals if you must. Make it sound like the Georgie Case that we have heard. If the White Stripes could make that much music with one talented guitarist with an eccentric voice and a no-talent drummer, and Nirvana could do what they did with three people and Kurt's vocals, then CCP can make amazing music themselves. Make Ain't No Use your first single.

I've read Taylor's blog posts for over a decade and I tell you with certainty that he has spiritual depth and insight that reaches every corner of what Ed put into Live's lyrics. I dare say that Chad's spiritual depth is part of what we saw in Live.

So there is my proposition. Turn Georgie Case and the Flatline Drummers into Live.
