Just thought it was interesting about ESPN's Stanley Cup coverage that is heading their web site is named Selling the Drama

In Detroit the Pistons suck right now and nobody cares.

As far as the Wings - they've made the playoffs now for 20 years in a row. The winning really has made fans complacent. In addition, many regular season and playoff games do not even start until 10 pm local time since we play in the Western Conf. The die-hard I'm going to stay up all night for a first round game mentality has worn off locally.

It used to be that everyone would watch most of the games and follow everything they did. Since they've been so successful and won so many cups most people in the area won't really even pay that much attention until the conference or cup finals.

To much success does have it's downside.
