I have just recently started to appreciate this song. I used to skip it everytime it came on. But man, this song is incredible. Love the solo, Ed's voice is spectacular. Love everything about the song. It makes me a little sad to listen to it and think of what might have been if Ed wouldn't have lost his head..............I hope someday he will reach out to the boys and say "I was wrong..........."

Sorry, I'm still a big fan of Ed and certainly don't want to bash him but I do wish the band was still together making incredible music like this.

Ahh yes. There is nothing like the way a live song hits you again for the first time when shuffling through the catalog. Over the weekend, Feel The Quiet River Rage came on, and the littlest thing hit me in a big way. Listen to that song and pay attention to the little guitar chords that Chad strums at the 2:40 mark. I don't know why that hit me, but I was listening and then those perfect, simple little chords came in and I was overcome with appreciation for Live and the fact that IT TOOK ALL FOUR GUYS TO MAKE THIS MUSIC SO GREAT! Those chords at the 2:40 mark are exactly what Chad Taylor has always said he can do so well. He won't hit an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo. But he will pull the guitar riff for Lakini's Juice or Honest Man out of the hands of his muse and express it from his guitar - and it doesn't have to be fast and it doesn't have to make his fingers look like Chinese acrobats on the fret board. But it is the perfect sequence of simple pleasing sounds that make a song oh so good. Check out Feel The Quiet River Rage. Really feel the song. And see if those chords move you too. It's nice.

That's what makes Secret Samadhi so great.
