This part really bothered me:

How was it transitioning from Live to a solo career?
I was responsible for all the lyrics and music for Live, so the writing process didn’t change much at all for me.

Not even the slightest bit of thanks or acknowledgement to those who wrote the music for much of the bands first 10 years.

Well there's a lot of contradiction in many of the statements in this thread, but the overall contention is that Ed's exclusion of CCP was the main factor that made Live bad and proves that CCP have been the main draw to Live for the majority of fans.

I disagree. Although I think CCP are great and are a driving force in Live that is irreplacable, I think a much bigger factor in Live's downfall is that Ed got worse. I think that majority of fans were drawn by Ed over CCP in the 90's. I think this is justifiably the case because Ed drew crowds from rocking exceptionally, in some manner exclusive of CCP. Moreover, he was the face of the band on MTV, which probably influenced the majority of fans. And so I think he deserves more credit in this thread as far as being a draw for Live is concerned.

I also see that old argument about Ed's involvement in the bands breakup. Hopefully that situation is seen as very inconclusive, as to not create unwarranted disheartening.
