I don't think this July meeting is as concrete as some of you want to believe. He did say "probably" after all. That's a pretty important word.

Most young bands lose their guarantees while on tour. I was reminded of that just the other day of when I saw Arcade Fire in 2004, and they played for about 32 people. Super nice people who were losing a load of money on their tour.

As much as Chad changes his mind, when he says probably it sounds pretty certain to me. Hes repeated the idea of a potential Live reunion 2 days in a row. He had the kindergarten explanation copied word for word in both interviews. Thats practically promo-style talk.

Look at the paragraph here from the Rockline interview, gather the context of the word "probably"

It sounds like Chad wants to get in touch w. Ed. Ed's should at least get asked by fans about what Chad has said on the radio.

That is interesting about arcade fire. I've read a few things about how they were pretentious jerks.

This sentence makes no sense. Shouldn't it be less certain since he only said "probably"?

Arcade Fire weren't jerks back then, I don't know about now.

Who is to say that Ed will take them back? They publicly ripped him pretty viciously, and he has been able to make a living since the split. Maybe Ed won't be so forgiving(at least not right away?)

Didn't Ed have to put his house up for sale and start selling coffee and pendants? Not to mention, acoustic bootlegs that he didn't pay the other guys for.

I don't think you really know anything about Ed's financial situation, he hasn't been as forthcoming as the TGF guys. He has one more person in his band, I assume a crew that was just as large as TGF's, and I don't recall many reports of sellout shows.

I won't even touch the stuff about him needing to forgive them... yuck.

Unlike TGF, Ed can tour solo with a guitar and his touring manager. He also had very well attended tours in Europe and Australia and posted a lot of sell outs last year.

Both NY shows for Open Wings Broken Strings in March will likely sell out by showtime.

His band has 5 members just like TGF, but he doesn't have to give equal splits as they are his backing band.
