In Ed's defense though, at least whenever I read about him talking of SFBM he always mentioned the album had a "stripped down" feel to it. I always took that to be a more acoustic sound. I don't remember him saying that SFBM was a "rock" album. It's possible though and I may have missed it.

But I definitely agree there was a big disconnect between the music Ed wanted and the music the guys wanted, which is good that each are now playing what they want.
