So, another TDTH thread here got me thinking of making this thread. Maybe something like this already exsisted here ( I do not recall... but in the last 7 years of me posting here... most probably)... but.. here goes.

Everyone has a recording in his life without which he can not imagine his own exsistance.

So, to get things started, I ask you all to post 5 albums you can not live without. As simple as that.

Let me get it started.

This list has been stable since 2002. Only because The Shining was released then really lol.gif As you see, 3 out of 5 albums come from the 90s, two of them from 99 (my fave year in terms of music - loadsa tremendous albums were released), one of them MUST HAVE BEEN out in the 90s (MV) and one of them SOUNDS like the 90s laugh.gif

Expecting yer lists, fella posters!

Okay, I know we were only supposed to list 5 but I have to add an honorable mention because of its relevance to Live.

Unified Theory: Not a well known band but they have connectivity to both Live and Candlebox. Guessing that many of you saw them play live when opening for Counting Crows and Live back in 2000. Also, former Blind Melon guitarist, Christopher Thorn played guitar with Live for that tour if memory serves correctly. And, drummer Dave Krusen, best known for playing on Pearl Jam's Ten record, was also in Candlebox for a couple of years, played drums on Happy Pills and also played on 8 of the tracks on Into the Sun which most people don't realize. Unified Theory is an album I definitely cannot live without. Its lush arrangements and water/sea references draw me in with every listen. UT is far from a Blind Melon rehash, though some made that comparison due to singer, Chris Shin's high vocal register. This album has no throw away tracks and resonates with me deeply. They released a second album called Cinematic in 2006 with many of the tracks being utilized from the original studio sessions but didn't make the first record. Worth checking out! Anybody have thoughts on the first UT record? For those who have not yet heard this album/band, it is a must own and I think fans of Live, Ed, TGF and Candlebox will all enjoy!

Right on, Got this when it came out , still spin it. Actually couple days ago. Love drumming to Full Flavor, and Not Dead just hits me. Really speaks to me and about me.
