TGF would like your help. A lucky fan will win a nice prize if the goal is met.

TGF Drive for 25 Promotion
by The Gracious Few on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:57pmAs we write this message, we're all together in York preparing for the album release and the upcoming tour. This is a time of great excitement and anticipation and we want to thank all of our gracious fans who joined us early on this journey - we can't wait to see you at an upcoming show!

For the next 16 days until the album launches, TGF is sponsoring a Drive for 25k campaign to grow our Facebook fan page to twenty-five thousand members. We need your support to make this happen! If each of our existing fans recruits one other member, we'll exceed the goal.

Each day, from now until September 14th we'll choose a fan who is actively referring and participating in growing the fan page to receive a special gift package from the band. If the fan page hits 25k by September 14th we'll also post a special fan discount code for the merch site which can be used for anything on the site.

See you on the road!

Go to the Facebook page and see for yourself.

Your post wouldn't have been half as annoying if you had just said "It doesn't look like this is going very well" and been on your way.

Most promotional aspects of TGF's campaign for this album have been a total flop. It is great that a lot of you like the music, but they are just awful business men. The fact that they didn't proofread their CD track listing properly screams of their carelessness. Couple that with the failed Facebook sponsored "Drive for 25", Honest Man flopping due to its early release, and numerous other strange choiced that they have made.

Ed's mistakes get pointed out reguarly on this board, and they are far less numerous.

I don't like jumping on the Nick-bashing wagon as I think you take a lot more flak then you deserve but that post seriously made me groan. Enough with the marketing nonsense already, yeesh.

It is just professionalism. How many CD's do you own with an incorrect tracklisting? It is just embarrassing to have that happen, especially on your debut album. What's worse is that they only have themselves to blame.

I think I have a Default CD that has the tracks mislabeled, but I didn't care about that nor do I care about TGF's list being wrong. I don't think even fresh off the street listeners are going to care after a few spins, either. They'll judge the CD based on what they hear, not what they read on the back of the case.
