We finally learned how to pronounce his name correctly! And learned a thing or two about the guy while we are at it. It's been quite the story after 20 million plus records sold world wide and a rough fall out with the band "Live" to now being a solo artist with a genuine heart for the poor (this guy has 10 World Vision sponsor kids... wow!)

I just listened to this - thanks for the link.

I have to admit "faith-based music" made me take pause. I'm all for people exploring their faith but it makes me think of Bush Jr. and his "faith-based groups", which was code for "right-wing approved". Ed also says he's heard no controversy about his new music not being like his old music, which either is glossing over the truth or he's unaware of what's being said by a lot of people. Nick, you might be able to let us know if he sees the negative comments on his FB page before you delete them.

The interviewer sounds kinda uninformed. He didn't know how to pronounce Ed's last name and seemed surprised that Ed is married and has kids. I know not all DJs are fans of the folks they interview, but to a long-time Live fan like me he came across as a bit of a perky rube when it comes to Live/Ed info.

I found it interesting that he says he's doing all Christian lyrics but wrote them in a way that he hopes people of all faiths can enjoy. That's preferable to me as opposed to straight up "This is the only way, obey me, heathens!" message that some put out there. He sounds like he's genuine about what he's doing now, even if it's not my cup of tea. I still miss the Ed of old.
