Amanda Palmer, Who Killed Amanda Palmer? Options

This album has been out since 2008 but I haven't stopped listening to it. Palmer is the lead singer of the Dresden Dolls and the album was produced by Ben Folds. If you like piano rock (not the Billy Joel kind!) then you should definitely check it out!

I go between really loving her and the dresden dolls to just completely forgetting they exist. It's weird, she/they have done some awesome songs though, love the Jeep Song! Missed her when she came out here though which sucks, definitely wont if she tours again!

In the same league I love an Aussie artist called Kate Miller-Heidke (who ironically as you mentioned has toured the US with Ben Folds a couple of times now and is going to be on his new album I think). She's a classically trained opera singer who turned to pop and has big Palmer influences... check out a few of her songs:
