The Scoop: For the past decade and a half, Ed Kowalczyk served as lead singer for mainstream standouts Live, the grunge rockers who racked up sales of over 20 million albums over the span of five chart-topping singles and a myriad of top-ten tunes. Though the band’s been stagnant since 2006, the leader branched out on his own in 2009, starting with a solo acoustic tour featuring members of Sixpence None the Richer and Everclear, followed by this studio session with producer CJ Eiriksson (U2, Matchbox Twenty), resulting in his most overtly spiritual disc to date.
