Hey Swami,

Just wondering on the status of the new LCR? I've got a few releases that I could add to the mix that are not currently on your site. Let me know how I can help.

Hey Swami,

The status is that it's about 2% done...

I realize that my style of web design has gone out of favour in recent years, so I'm trying to teach myself Web 2.0 design. In truth, if I just went with what I already know, I could have the site up by the end of the year, but I think it's in my best interests to familiarize myself with the more modern techniques of web design.

The new LCR (I'm aiming for July 2011) will absolutely blow your mind. That much I promise. I've got so many new features lined up which will make the experience so much more personal. Among them, individual user accounts where you can tag releases and add them to your collection list online. This list will be public for other collectors to view. The best part of this is that I'll integrate a trading/selling system so collectors can help each other out in completing their collections.

I'll also be accepting scans AND photographs of items from collections worldwide. Previously, I used to ask that a release be sent to me so that I could scan it myself and thus adhere to my scanning standards. BUT...when it comes down to it, I'd prefer to have a photograph of an item than nothing at all. So...the scanning standards will remain in place, if you're scanning. If you're photographing an item, I want the photos to be crisp and clear, but I'll accept nearly any submissions.

I'm also expanding the main sections from 8 sections to 10 and I have close to 500 new items to add since the last update I made in June or July of 2007.

So...if you have scans or information about releases that are not listed on the current LCR, please e-mail the details to swamilive@gmail.com. Again, I plan to have the new and improved LCR up within a year's time. It's a long time to wait, but I assure you it will be worth the wait.
