Those could be some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard.

Absolutely, absolutely awful. He has lost any means to write truly deep, meaningful songs. And I agree that the message is sweet, but its so corny. I HATE CORNY MUSIC!!! Live, at its best, was far from corny. It was passionate, mysterious and full of heart. What a shame. I found myself defending Ed over the years, but after the past 1-2 years, I've opened my eyes and have realized that the man has been stifling a talented band for about 6-8 years now. And its a shame too, because Ed is a serious talent. Somewhere along the lines, though, he forgot how to write a truly good song. For example, "Turn My Head" can be looked at as a "sweet" song about adoration, love, etc. But how many millions times better is it than anything he has made recently? Its one thing to go a little bit softer with your sound, but its another thing to write piss poor lyrics. As a true Live (and Ed) fan for many years, I am sad to say that I have not bought Ed's new record, and I don't plan on it. "Grace" is actually a decent song, in my opinion - I have that one. But clips of the other songs I have heard have proven to me that the man has become way too one-sided, preachy, and his lyrics are becoming unbearable. Believe me when I say that I am not writing all of this to incite anger in the Ed K. message board side, just stating my sadness for what he has become as an artist.
