One of the awful dreams I used to be having is seeing Live on stage in Europe with around 10 people in attendance with me cheering and screaming: FUCK THEM ALL! THOSE WHO NEED YOU ARE HERE! COME OOOOOOOOOOON!

Later it also happened to Depeche Mode in my dreams. And once - to Ed around a year ago.

I honestly don't know what is embarrassing about playing an short acoustic set mid-day in front of a few hundred fans at a major festival. The one thing Ed does is work his butt off. He plays anywhere in the world because he wants to get his music out there.

The most important thing you can take from the video, is that he sounded great, and put on a great acoustic show.

wow this is the first time you've said this I think .. I thought the most important thing was how many people were there and how many albums he sold at the gig and what his album was doing in Holland??

It's sad that he's even doing this, it's a god damn kids stage. Just think about that .. this man has sold out massive arenas, and whilst no one expects him to do that now, a KIDS stage at a festival.. it's kinda a massive downfall. It's like being sat at the kiddy table whilst the grown ups play on the main stages.
