Don't know if this band has been discussed over here, but if not, I'll bring it up now. Aside from Live this is the only band that I obtain all orgiginal physical albums of (or wait, maybe Muse, but they only have 5), and I listen their music a lot.

Anyone who ever listened to them / likes them? They're from Wales (G-B), and were (just like Live quite popular in the 90ies. They're still big in GB nowadays as well. Their music style has been quite broad over the years. Started with a combination of androgynous glam punk songs, and have gone from real rock 'n roll with wonderfull guitar solo's to popsongs with electronic influences. Their lyrics have always been in an intellectual (and also political) style.

They are most notable for their rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards, that suddenly and mysteriously vanished on 1 February 1995. he was also their lyricist. He he was officially declared presumed deceased only 2 years ago (november 2008) as there was (and still is) no trace of him.

Their work with Edwards is still regarded as their best work by some (The Holy Bible, Generation terrorists and Gold Against the Soul, to name the three albums), but I think they made enough music after his disapearance (such as This is My truth, Tell Me Yours, and more recently Send Away The Tigers), that can match the old stuff. It's funny how they really bash their last album each time they release a new one.

Also, they have a new single, (and album) coming out, which sounds actually quite bad, but at the otherhand so sweet like honey, poppy radio friendly, that it may become a hit tongue.gif. (It's Not War) Just the end of Love.

If you want to hear some of their work, check out La Tristesse Durera (Scream To A Sigh), Motorcycle Emptiness or their cover of Suicide is Painless. For the ones with more softer/pop taste: well known songs like If You Tolerate This.
