This is an interview of Ed with Faceculture. He was interviewed late 2008 there too, and that was one of the most revealing interviews ever maybe, ed talking so much about ANTHING Live related, how he met Pat, Chad, Chad, playing thier first songs, really nice.

Now they interviewed him again, and this must be the uhm... let's say most confronting interview since Ed's gone solo. I even felt a little sad for Ed. Only seen the first part of 5 so far, but the interviewer kept asking about the split up, why he wanted 100.000 lead-singer bonus, etc. Ed only says it's one big mistake and misunderstood, and wants to talk about the creative aspect of the new album.

Ed said there was lack of creativity. He needed some new people.

Come on, Ed. If you only let Chad, Chad and Patrick participate only 10% in your songwriting, they would have givebn you OCEANS of creativity (to say it in Ed's water-terms). But no, Ed chooses to work with a few unknown musicians, to get the 'spark' back. He just implies that the new drummer have him so much more inspiration than Gracey! I just can't believe this whole thing.

I believe that was prior to all the shady business dealings being discovered, so Ed may have enacted the hiatus but not the full-on break up.

No he didn't. He backpedaled, side stepped, and at one point pretty much asked the interviewer to stop the questioning. He completely bitched out. He never once gave an honest answer. He tried to justify his lies and deceit, and didn't even do a plausible job either.

Chad didn't contradict a damn thing, he said he was sorry for making it public. You know what though, the majority of the fan base is happy that he made it public. We wanted answers, and we needed to know exactly what happened to our favorite band. Should I ever run into Chad again, I'll tell him that I understand his thoughts, but that I'm thankful that he aired his grievances, because it also helped me in healing as a fan and restoring a great deal of my faith in the past history of the band.
