It sucks.

It sucks because it was put out by Ed Kowalczyk. Despite the allegations against treatment of fans, the man is definitely talented and capable of so much more.

If Daughtry or someone else had made the album, I'd give it higher marks.

It does contain melodies that get stuck in your head, Ed has always been good at those, but then again most people have the McDonalds "I'm loving it" melody stuck in their head after hearing it. That is hardly an attribute of quality.

The biggest turn offs, for me, is the over-the-top direction towards pop versus rock AND the strong pro-Christian overtones. Which is against what Ed stood for when most of us fell in love with his music.

Ed... ahem.. the good music writing Ed, that catapulted him and Live into stardom and rock history, wasn't all that fond of Christian themes either.

I digress, we know you don't like MJ, TC or SS Ed, cause ya know, those albums don't contain enough pop, falsetto and shining light of love references.

In fact, this brings me to a big point of confusion. What the hell does Christian-Ed (and presumably you as a Christian) think when he sings older songs that are very anti-religious establishment. When LJ comes up, do you just pretend he doesn't mock communion? Do you even know the lyrics to the song? A real christian wouldn't tolerate music that mocked the divinity of religious practices. Either you, and Ed, hate Lakini's Juice or your both hypocrites.

Ed has very different views towards religion now than he did in the mid-90's. Operation Spirits lyrics were changed because Ed wouldn't sing lyrics that were against his beliefs.
