My first concert was in Austin Texas, South Park Meadows. My GOD it was soooo freakin hot that day. Wish I could find the actual date....it was the SS tour. I even guessed what the first song was going to be....RATTLESNAKE baby.

My gf and I were having a terrible time because people 'surfing' kept getting dumped on top of us! It really started to piss me off, but then I was like 'we can either let this get to us, or we can just say fuck it and have a great time'....so that's what we did.

I heard Rattlesnake yesterday on Lithium XM and I started to think about that concert, and my first live song. I thought about how sooooo much has changed, but at the same time, there is alot that hasn't changed. Like the goosebumps I still get when Chad plays the first note of Rattlesnake....holding it just long enough for the rest of the +boys+ to thunder in or when they hit the instrumental part! It's the same feeling, every single time I hear it.

So, let's hear about some others (sorry if this is a repost, thought it would be nice to revisit).

First: 09/26/97 @ Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL Ah those were the days - they killed it (Manbreak and Luscious Jackson opening)

Most memorable: 10/05/99 @ House of Blues in Orlando, FL - Remember waiting for hours meeting some really cool Live fans, getting right in front of the stage and then defending our spot for the rest of the night. By any means necessary. :-)

Awesome thread Liveoneut, bringing back a lot of good memories.

First: 1992-04-05 on the MTV 120 Minutes Tour with Blind Melon, Public Image Limited and Big Audio Dynamite. Chad T or Pat had the stomach flu, I forget which, so Ed sang and played acoustic guitar and Chad G played bongos. It was amazing and I was hooked.

Most Memorable: Wow, too many amazing shows to pick just one. Probably the '98 Chameleon Club show, the crowd was electric, the band was stoked to be playing new material in their old club.

Farthest: Colorado to Lancaster to Pittsburgh to Allentown in one weekend. However, after the '98 Chameleon Club show I hopped in my car and drove all night back to Atlanta, by myself. I think that was a little crazier than the 3 shows in 3 nights in PA.

Last: 2009-03-27

First show for me was 07/12/92 @ Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA
(Soooo pissed that I missed the Variety Playhouse show earlier that month).

Billed (by one of the local radio stations I think) as "Sonic Sunday". Perfect summer afternoon sitting in the lawn watching a bunch of popular 90's bands. The guys rocked the place! Classic early Live. They looked just like the little kids pictured on the MJ cover. I dont remember the exact song list, but they played they majority of MJ (well considering they didnt have much else to play back then, I guess that's not surprising).

jclive - Dang they played Album88's Sonic Sunday and at the Variety?!?! I moved to ATL that fall, I caught all of their shows for the next 6 years there. Including the free show on the GT Student Center lawn in the Spring of '93. The guys were driving a UHaul and just sitting on the steps of the building before the set.

Yeah, I think they were a little bit known in their TC glory days, but then we forgot about them pretty quickly.

I caught 2 shows back to back in London 2 in '99, epic shows. The place was packed, it was so hot and humid (from people sweating) that Ed was writing on the mirror next to the stage fogged up. I ran into the band in the alley behind the Electric Ballroom after the show, hung out a little and then hopped the train back to Birmingham.

First: 21 Sept 97: Dallas, TX, Coca-Cola Starplex with Luscious Jackson (who I actually cannot stand). For some reason, I feel like I saw them before this, but this is the first I can remember.

Most Memorable: 29 Oct 99: I won a contest to bowl with the band. CT was the only one who came out before the show and bowled with me. I also got backstage to meet the rest of the guys!

Farthest: 18 July 09: Cleveland. Decided just days before to fly up for the show and met a friend up there who gave me the tickets and backstage passes.

Last: 14 May 09 & 18 July 09
Drove to Houston in May (just a week before the hiatus announcement) with my pal Sarah for the Houston show and got backstage. All the guys posed with a sign that said "Hi Amber" to my college roomie (who was unable to go to the show). She had previously been my LIVE buddy. They all posed individually with the handmade sign and they were friggin' hilarious. They also signed my poster from the SS Tour and it is now framed (and beautiful, I might add).
