Apparently he is mastering both the Ed K. album and the TGF album. Interesting!

I'm seeing the same shitty marketing happening with my other favorite band Counting Crows...they left Geffen and now are Independent..5+ years between the last 2 albums...on the last Album , Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings...the wrong single ( widely accepted among CC fans) was released...not promoted..and the song that should of been released hit #1 on the TripleA charts..another song made the top 5 and stayed there for weeks...
Marketing is HUGE for bands success...bad marketing can sink them as bad as horrible albums. I'm seeing a parallel between +Live+ & CC ...each album declines in sales...I dont think SN&SM even sold 500,000 copies..

For what it's worth Counting Crows situation is quite a bit different than Live's. Taking 5 years to record a new album is rarely the fault of the label, and that IMO is what killed Counting Crows. Hardcore Counting Crows fans still bought SN&SM, whilst Live has lost theirs.

Since you are more a part of the community, what was the general fan reaction to SN&SM? Personally I thought it was a solid effort though not worth 5+ years in the making.
