Impossible Politics Options

I just wrote a blog called Impossible Politics [link removed], which discusses my uncertainty about politics in general. I thought some of you here might relate to my ponderings. If you're interested then feel free to read, and I'd greatly appreciate any comments (on the blog page itself, preferably).

In all honesty, I want Obama to rule England. Dude's cool as fuck. Obama, or Bruce Willis.

Let's not make this a religious argument. There's another thread for that.

And, no, I do not work for the government. Enough said there.

You choose to live in America, and you are therefore bound to forfeit a portion of your income to the American government to do with what they please. Perhaps do some research; you may be surprised to learn that the benefits received by the average middle-class American family will far outweigh their own contributions in taxes.

You're already a benefactor of middle-class welfare. Who do you think pays for the defence and police forces for your safety? The subsidies given to your local schools? The roads that you drive on?

And yet, you have the tenacity to suggest that "your" taxes should not be spent on providing access to healthcare for those who cannot afford it...?
