Anyone else catch Eddie Vedder lip synching to "Just Breathe" last night on SNL? I thought that it was painfully obvious. Not cool at all!

mmm... just checked out the performance on youtube as well as per the link... what makes you guys think he's lip synching? Have you guys heard the studio version?

Check out other pearl jam live videos - i think it's possibly ed vedder's style of singing?

interested to know you suspect that in the first place - if it's true, would suck. but from what i've seen of pearl jam in the past, ed vedder in particular and his performance style, and the original track off the album, it doesn't seem like a lip-synch to me.

To me, it visually looks off. Anyway, I had a look at the PJ forums and nobody mentioned it so perhaps the YouTube link was a poor encode?

Anyway, I'm willing to give EV the benefit of the doubt smile.gif

Listen to the SNL performance and listen to the studio version. They sound exactly the same. Live performances always have a slight variation in sound, this did not.
