If Live released a rock album in the vain of Throwing Copper, I agree with you. If Live released an album that sounded like AC/DC light with horrendous vocals, not so much.

There are many old school Live/Candlebox fans who would have really dug an album that reverted back to that old 90's grunge style of music that both bands enjoyed tons of success with. From the samples, that is not what we are getting with The Gracious Few. To me, it is a bit of a bummer.

Seriously? The only track that sounds close to AC/DC is Appetite. AC/DC HAS horrendous vocals, making your comment even more a head scratcher.

Live and Candlebox have been my two favorite grunge bands for years and I am fucking pumped after hearing the samples. It is a tantalizing mix of classic rock and grunge. I doubt there is a question whether Candlebox fans will like it as Candlebox has always had more of a classic rock bent than Live. The question is more will Live fans like it.

I think the Live fans who appreciated what CT, CG and PD brought to the band as much as they did Ed's vocals will find a lot to like here.

It will be interesting to see how this does. I've played the samples for several people who don't like either band and they always want to hear more. Not a wide sample base, but the response has been much better than what I expected.
