Ed covering 'Sex on Fire' Options

Oh man, ummm. Comparing it to the Ed of old... oh man, it's just a little bit ridiculous. Vocally, in terms of the new vocal style new Ed, it's fairly decent. The start of the choruses make me laugh though because there's this tiny little bobbing, colourful head doing a big O face which is just, again, ridiculous. And overall, compared to old Ed's voice... Secret Samadhi Ed.... there's no comparison.

I don't like that he does stuff like this. I'm sure it's more fun for him, being in constant contact with fans and doing covers and stuff, but it seems like he's embracing his own fall from grace. He knows he's not as big or good as he was, so he's increasing communication to make up for it or something. A slight whiff of desperation or something.

Like, even though TGF came from the band band, the fact that we've not had much from them makes them seem all the more professional adn they've maintained that aura about them. It's The Gracious Few, it's gonna be a real album. With Ed... I almost feel like it'll be getting a mates self-made album or something.

It's just. I dunno. Sad. But on its own merits, not a bad cover. But I still don't like how it always feels like he's going to say "oh Lord" any minute. And that's not a God Squad bashing thing or whatever; it's the weight of his voice sometimes and the tone, just really feels like he's gonna say stuff about Lord and Child etc. Just... I don't know. Where did Secret Samadhi Ed go? I really don't think it's the same man any more. He's gone. Really feels like two seperate people. In my mind, mentally, watching an old video, I don't think that Ed exists in this modern world. Repeating myself, but it feels and seems, really, LITERALLY, they're actually two seperate people.
