Im just wondering is there any1 around here who actually got the original casette of Death of a dictionary?


And if so how much did you pay for it??

I still have my copy. I was really bothered by the recent breakup and contemplated selling it.

I'm really on the fence about it.

Anyway, to answer this thread about how I acquired the DOAD cassette. I'm not far from Live's origins in Lancaster, PA but didn't really get into the band until some friends played Mental Jewelry for me back in 1992. A few shows later in 1994 while taking some summer classes at a local university I came across it at the local cd shop. The guy had just traded for it and knew I liked them (he was more metal oriented) and I was able to buy it for $15.

Around the same time the SOY email/newsletter/digest started up and I transcribed the lyrics for everyone on the list. I think I ended up making 10-15 copies of it for different people on the list (sneakily dubbing it to a "master copy" and using that to make further copies, saving wear and tear on the original).
