See for yourself. Granted, its just an article - but Ed twittered in response to it and said "Beautiful piece!" and seemed excited by it.

Is it strange that I don't want Ed to practice any specific religion? I liked it better when he asked questioned this stuff more (of course, that is a selfish thought). But come to think of it, "Take me on up to Zion" has Old Testament written all over it. At first I took it more as him just experimenting with the idea of "Zion" - a perfect place of comfort. But this article says that he has "devoted himself to God" and compared Live to Creed and Nickelback - God help us all..... (no pun intended)

and even though ed is A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, why does that affect any of you in a bad way?

1) they stood up for love = christian song about jesus & people having faith throughout their lives even though they are hated

you hear "I give my heart and soul to the one" who's the "one"? its jesus.

you hear "even scientists say, everything is just light not created, destroyed but eternally bright
masters in everytime lord in everyplace" we are made in the image of our father in heaven, jesus is the light, the way and the truth, we are offered eternal life

you hear "those who stood up for love down in spite of the hate in spite of the hate" thats people like ED, hes still standing up, believing in the truth despite a few fools mocking him.

2) forever = christian song about trusting in god, ed knows whats coming, whats meant to come, and its about standing firm in the face of everything with jesus

3) run to the water = christian song about the birth of jesus christ

you hear "dont try to find the answer when there aint no question here" hes talking about the birth, death (for our sins) and resurrection of jesus christ.

you hear "brother let your heart be wounded and give no mercy to your fear" hes talking about letting jesus in to your heart and its about fearing nothing because no matter what, if you have jesus in your heart you have nothing to fear.

you hear "babylon is every town" well babylon is an old iraqi city, full of sin that was destroyed and babylon is the symbol of sin, so hes saying that the world is full of ignorant, evil people like those posting here.

you hear "love's a stranger all around", love is god, god is a stranger to the people because the people have rejected him, his commandments, his morals, his message, his gifts, people think they are more advanced than god, people see themselves as god.

you hear "run to the water AND FIND ME THERE!", now how does that make ANY sense? whos at the water?

you find jesus christ at the water when you get baptised!

you hear "Burnt to the core but not broken" hes talking about jesus and the pain he went through for YOU and ME, jesus could have stopped it any time, so to could of his followers who refused to recant the truth that jesus was resurrected and were put to death after refusing many times over many years knowing the penalty.

LOOK UP the tribulation in the bible.

I Alone = christian song directly from a bible verse about people out fishing when a storm comes in, jesus is sleeping when the storm rolls in and the people in the boat started freaking out thinking they were going to drown.

you hear "Its easier not to be wise And measure these things by your brains" from the bible, this means do not pretend to be wise because you will just be arrogent, foolish and wrong, instead use the brain god gave you.

you hear "I sank into eden with you" this means jesus was with us from the start, always and to the end, he never leaves us even if we reject him.

you hear "I alone love you" this means jesus and jesus alone loves you, the only true love, unbreakable love. when you get married it is love until death do you part, jesus is with you in life and death and the afterlife.

you hear "Its easier not to be great And measure these things by your eyes" this means you should use your brain and your eyes, not try to be great to others, dont try to be a hero, but live the best you can.

ridicule me all you like, you are only serving your self. look around you, at your lives, they are shit, you attitudes are disgusting. why is it that if one man chooses to worship a cow and rub that cows feces on his face (hindu) you think hes wise? and when another man, grounded in common sense, with knowledge chooses to believe in the lord jesus christ you mock him?

christians have been mocked for thousands of years, and will continue to be persecuted until jesus returns, i know it, others know it, but you should ask yourselves what purpose that serves. are you afraid of something?

maybe you should clear your minds, stop watching so much tv, drinking so much, smoking dope, then open your mind, you too might find jesus and happiness.

its understandable that ed rebelled from the christian faith in his early years, even jesus rebelled against organised faith.
