The End of Live, (at least for the forseeable future) Options

After seeing last nights show in New Hampshire, it got me thinking that Live could actually be finished as a band. While there performance was still very good, there was zero interaction between band members on stage. I've seen the band perform 43 times in concert, and to me this was the first time that Live didn't seem in synch as a unit. It is almost as if Ed treated this as just another solo show with a back-up band. Which is wrong on so many levels.

Also, with Ed now pushing his solo album, he seems to have discarded any enthusiasm that he once had for Live. At one time, there was talk of a new Live album this year, but outside of Believe, we see no evidence that this project is moving forward.

I don't mind Ed going solo, but he should treat Live shows as a band experience. Live's chemistry on stage is what makes the shows memorable. I'd hate to see the band lose that. It just wouldn't be the same.

First Jon and Kate and now this!

Seriously, I think this actually getting a little wierd. Eddie and Chad seem to be explaining and rationalizing what's going on. Perhaps they didn't "break up" like boyfriends and girlfriends, but it seems that they are saying that they are all turning and walking away from Live for some indefinite period of time. The music is going to suffer if they don't... they are moving in other creative circles... The band will always be there for them... Whatever. Something is going on here. It looks like Live is not going to be together for some undeterminable period of time and it doesn't sound like there are any current plans to schedule some studio time and resume recording and touring. Wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago that Eddie was writing music for Live and now they are all taking time off? Chad is talking about his "next band". I'm probably reading to much into this, but something seems a little wierd.

And by the way, to everyone attacking Nick and shutting down threads in certain message boards and calling names and making fun of those who want to discuss this... just what exactly is a message board that is dedicated to a certain band supposed to be for?!?! We're not allowed to even discuss this? Seriously? The twitters and recent solo pursuits of Eddie and brand new Eddie persona are all novel developments that can potentially shake things up a bit. I honestly can't understand why some people whine that no one should even discuss the possible implications! That mysitifies me. It's like a bunch of children in denial that mommy and daddy might get a divorce. It can't possibly be true so let's not even talk about it! Get a grip.
